Accessibility statement

Accessibility at Webcounter.ca

We want the dashboard, public pages, and shared reports to work for people who use a keyboard, screen reader, or higher-contrast display. This statement explains our target and the gaps we still know about.

Conformance target

Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Webcounter.ca is partially conformant. Automated browser tests cover the main flows across several browsers, screen sizes, and light and dark colour schemes, but the known gaps below remain.

Current support

• Every “skip to main content” link has a working target.
• Sort controls on ranked tables announce their purpose to screen readers.
• Site-navigation link text meets our colour-contrast target against its background.
• Wide tables can be reached and scrolled with a keyboard on narrow screens.
• Country, region, and city rows expose separate controls without nesting one interactive element inside another.
• The visitor map includes a matching keyboard-accessible place list, visible focus styles, spoken details, and a link to skip past the map.

Known limitations

We currently know about these limitations:

• The per-site raw-event retention control on the Site tools page does not yet announce its site.
• The “N now” live-visitor indicator does not yet meet our text-contrast target.
• Time-series charts do not yet provide a complete non-visual, point-by-point alternative such as a data table.
• Automated browser accessibility tests cover Settings/Site tools, account management, network view, and monitoring. Some public marketing pages still have lighter automated coverage.

Tell us what we missed

If a screen reader misreads something, a control will not take keyboard focus, or text is hard to read, email support@webcounter.ca. Include the page and what happened. A link, browser, and assistive technology are helpful but not required.
